Dawn was recommended to us by a friend who already owned property on the Outer Banks. We discussed our expectations with Dawn and she immediately began looking for properties that met our needs. Because we had a three hour drive to view homes and are very busy with our businesses it was important that our time was well planed and the home shown met our requirements. After one visit of viewing homes Dawn was able to zero in our style and expectations. We found early on when there is a good deal you need to pull the trigger because there are many buyers looking for the same. Several houses that came on the market during the week that we planned on viewing on the weekend came under contract and were accepted before we could view. Dawn will lead you through those deals worthy of consideration and guide you on "best buy deals". She also has a vast knowledge of the area and will let you know of areas to stay away from, such as areas with erosion. Dawn is not pushy, she provides the facts and helps lead you to the decision. Summer is the traditional start of the slow period in real estate sales on the Outer Banks. Which makes sense. Showing a rental property is almost impossible in the summer, and owners don’t want to give up the seasonal cash flow. So it comes as no surprise that the June statistical report from the Outer Banks Board of REALTORS (OBAR), using data from the Outer Banks MLS, indicated a year-to-date slowdown in sales. But the overall trends continue to look good compared to last year.
